Is There
Anything We Won't Do?
Rob MacLeod’s Capitol Players is the adult division of Rob Macleod’s Capitol Kids. When Rob formed the “The Northern Knights Feast” he gathered a group Thunder Bay’s finest entertainers to work for him. This group of entertainers developed into a tight knit family under Rob’s guidance. This closeness was evident in the comfort level and professionalism that these actors displayed when working together on stage. We have gathered together the very best of this group. Rob MacLeod’s Capitol Players now use their theatrical talents to entertain, educate, demonstrate, and help worthy causes in a variety of performance outlets.
Entertainment!
What can we say, we love to entertain! From murder mysteries to dinner theatre to full theatrical productions we do them all.
At our Murder Mystery Dinners you never know who’ll show up. Take a generous portion of extraordinary food and add a pinch of improv zaniness and you have a recipe for a great night out. These dinners always sell-out fast, so book early.
Full stage productions have included Menopositive and Boiler Room Suite as well as dinner theatre shows at Grand Portage Lodge & Casino where we have had successful runs with light comedies and musicals like "I Do! I Do!", "Nunsense" and, "What About Luv?"
Events & Fundraising!
A large part of Rob MacLeod’s Capitol Players short history has been using theatre to entertain at corporate/social events or to help raise money for worthy causes. Whether it’s our “Rent A Wench” program, murder mysteries, variety shows or “Feasts” we can work with your group to develop what you need for first class entertainment at any event.
With “Rent A Wench” you can hire any costumed characters you’d like to come to your event to add colour, sell tickets, do a little song and dance, or act as Master of Ceremonies.
Variety Shows use songs, dances and sketch comedy to entertain your guests, while Murder Mysteries allow your guests to become a part of the entertainment. Both provide one-of-a-kind experiences that are unique to your organization/event.
“Feasts” are our bread & butter. For any age, using any theme these have to be seen to be believed.
If none these ideas matches your vision of what you need at your event call us up and we will work directly with you to develop and produce exactly what your group is looking for. We want to help you out.
Education!
What started as hundreds of Grade 4 students coming through the doors of the Capitol Theatre to learn in a humorous way about Medieval times has evolved into our educational branch.
Our audiences have always found us funny, but in this case it’s funny with a purpose. Rob MacLeod’s Capitol Players can use our skills at improvisation and character development to create Tailor-made Presentations for your group/class that will help educate on a topic or demonstrate a point in an extremely entertaining manner.
We can also offer Improvisation Workshops to your group/class. Improvisational training for businesses and organizations can help people think better on their feet, work as a team, create new ideas quickly, communicate/listen better and gain confidence. Improvisational training for schools and children can help develop self-esteem as well as communication and life skills such as listening and comprehension, focus and concentration, problem solving, respect for others, risk taking, and teamwork.
Personalized workshops can be developed in consultation with our customers to meet individual needs.
