New Moon Melodramas At Chippewa Park 2010 to Present

Thunder Bay has it's own form of melodrama that originated in the 70's with a troupe called Moonlight Melodrama. It involves the traditional melodrama format of a Damsel in Distress being in peril at the hands of an evil Villian and a Hero who comes in to save the day, but includes local references, celebrity name dropping and an element of spontaneous audience involvement that changes nightly as we smash the "4th wall". In 2010 we brought melodrama back to the place where it was it's most successful runs, Chippewa Park. Our New Moon Melodramas are all original melodramas that are very popular with all ages and suitable for the whole family.
